One to One Intensive 14 & 21 Day Thought Addiction Workshops

If you are struggling with any form of addiction, from gambling to anger or any substance, consider the 14 & 21 day intensive Thought Addiction workshops.

These 14 & 21 day workshops are highly successful programs for understanding and eliminating the root cause of all addiction. The exclusive one to one relationship, established through these programs, between counselor and client affords opportunities for learning and change not possible elsewhere. This exclusive relationship allows the program to be tailored to the specific needs of each individual client.

Based on years of research and experimentation with materials and modalities recognized as some of the most advanced in the field of personal empowerment, these workshops create an environment in which months and years of inner work are carefully distilled into a few weeks.

A specialized selection process is used to determine which applicants are best prepared to benefit from these workshops. This is essential as it is not every individual who is ready to make such serious changes in the ways and manners of thinking and living. I see only a select few clients each year. In so doing, I am able to guarantee each client truly individualized and comprehensive instruction as well as my undivided attention to all the subtleties which make each client unique.

Why Exclusive?

The shortened length of these intensive programs mandates that the highest degree of individual attention be given the client. Therefore, I selectively accept individuals who will best be served on a direct "one to one" basis. There will be no program of general house cleaning as is common in 28 day or longer programs. Classes are continuous and are not confined to any particular area such as a classroom. The client will be met with an expectation to work directly with the instructor to attain and achieve all that is offered. Committed interaction is a key principle of these workshops.

Many individuals are not comfortable working through their issues with a large group of strangers. While this is, in some respects, a valuable therapeutic tool the same outcomes can be achieved more readily through direct one to one communication, assessment, and instruction. In actuality, the client involved in either the 14 or 21 day workshop will have 3-4 times as much therapeutic and educational exposure than would be available in any 28 day residential program.

Some of my clients are engaged in professions which, for varying personal and privacy issues, require exclusivity in their recovery efforts. The nature of these programs is designed to accomodate these needs.

Most recovery education programs are geared toward a 28 day, 90 day, or 365 day stay at either a hospital or other "treatment" facility. The typical day consists of housecleaning and classes with either optional or mandatory attendance at 12 step meetings, classes, lectures, and therapy groups. My 14 and 21 day programs are not based on a 12 step program nor do I persuade clients to attend such groups. This is not a rejection of such groups and it is always the client's option to utilize 12 step programs. The exclusive and intensive nature of the 14 and 21 day workshops are essential in creating the deepest awareness and insight into the root cause of all addictions within the shortest amount of time. Once accomplished, the programs provide the tools and methods necessary for successfully creating one's own recovery.

How It Works

Potential clients are required to complete the survey on page 2, (Complete the survey and simply hit the "send" button or copy the survey, add answers, and email to: mdp54@comcast.net).

Once the survey is reviewed, I will respond with any further questions, an acceptance with a scheduled date for admission, or a rejection.

Upon acceptance, it is preferred that full payment for the enrolled workshop be forwarded. However, you will be required to submit a minimum 50% of fee within 5 working days. This will guarantee enrollment and will allow me to begin all of the necessary preparations for your workshop. Payment in full must be made no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled workshop. Committment being requisite, there are no refunds of any kind made with the exception of provable hardship. The fees for these workshops are not minor and all potential clients are urged to consider this undertaking with the utmost seriousness. Only certified checks will be accepted.

You will be expected to arrive promptly on the scheduled Day One. You will immediately sign an agreement that you have used no substances within 5 days of scheduled Day One. If it is deemed necessary, you agree to submit to blood, urine, or a combination of both, testing. Though the workshop programs are not specifically drug and alcohol programs, if found to be positive for alcohol or drugs you will be given one chance to enter the nearest detox for 72-120 hours at your additional expense. Agreement to do so will extend the actual workshop by those hours at an additional rate of $2500.00 per day. Refusal to complete detox will result in forfeiture of fees paid and any and all fees due and your immediate dismissal. Other corrective measures will apply to other addictive features as appropriate to their specific nature.

You will stay at locations arranged in advance and will be on the honor system regarding time not spent in one to one contact with me. Some exceptions to this will be made in the case of individuals court mandated. Such individuals will agree to wear a monitor and will be confined for the duration of the program.

What It Costs

As stated previously, the fee for this exclusive "one to one" workshop is not minor and is not to be taken lightly.

The full fee for the exclusive 14 day workshop is $21000.00

The full fee for the exclusive 21 day workshop is $31500.00

Drug testing is separately billed at $335.00 per test

The above fees include sleeping accommodations. They do not include meals or incidentals.

Sleeping accommodations are typically either 1st class hotels or rented private homes

All caution is taken to protect your privacy. Privacy arrangements will be discussed upon acceptance into the program and every effort will be made to maintain that privacy.

What If I Am Rejected

If you are not selected to attend a workshop, I will send specific reasons and will include several recommendations for reading, practicing, and for alternative treatment services. If your rejection was for marginal reasons, you will be held on a reserve list in the event there is a cancellation or dismissal. A modified 14 day program may be offered at a different fee. Cancellations and/or dismissals are exceptionally rare so it is advised to follow alternative steps to recovery as suggested.

What If I Fail?

You will not fail. There is no failure. If you complete the workshop, you have succeeded at step one. You must then work toward the next phase in your recovery and, following the directions provided, utilize each experience, even if a mistake or error, to create your success. Using all of the education and tools provided by me will give you the soundest foundation for full and complete recovery. There will be pitfalls, stumbles and nosedives along the way. This is carefully discussed as the workshop progresses. In the end, you will have follow up contacts with me and opportunities for further study and practice. Should you, after some time, feel that your substance abuse (if that is one of your addictive features) is wholly uncontrollable, I will consider you for an alternative program specifically addressing substance. It is my contention, however, that following my program as outlined, with diligence, will lead to success over any substance.
